SHIPPING & RETURNS

Shipping Policy

First Tank ships strictly to the continental USA, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and APO addresses. We do not ship internationally.

Shipping cost and time is determined by current live carrier rates and location of delivery. We do not add handling fees or other charges to the shipping cost shown at checkout. We currently offer USPS Ground, USPS Priority, our custom USPS Flat Rate shipping, and free shipping for orders valued at $85 or above. Shipping charges are not included in product prices. 

In stock items ship 1-3 business days after order placement. Out of stock items have a regular lead time of 2 weeks. 

Return & Refund Policy

First Tank has a no-returns policy. We do not accept returns of orders or individual items outside of our repair and replacement service. We do not offer pre-paid return label services for orders or items. If you ship an order or item  as a return to us at your expense, we will not be able to issue a refund for either the return shipping cost or the original shipping cost of the order. We will examine the returned items for quality of condition and issue a partial refund of no less than 15% and no greater than 90% of each item's value. Refunds of returns are determined upon a case-by-case basis and will vary in value within the 15%-90% margin. NOTE: Repairs are not returns and are exempt from our Returns Policy.

Parts: Limited Coverage & Replacement

First Tank offers a 12-month Limited Coverage Service for the following items:

  • Air Hose

  • Air Check Valves

  • Air Control Valves

  • Air Pump

  • Bio sponge and air stone unit

  • Heater

The 12-Month Limited Coverage allows for a one-time free replacement of the above items for the following reasons: ​

  • Mechanical Malfunction/Defect

  • Breakage during intended use

 

To request a replacement part, you will need to provide JPEG images of the damaged or malfunctioning item and a short video of the mechanical malfunction when applicable. Photos and videos can be submitted to our personnel at service@first-tank.com. 

This 12-month Limited Coverage Service is redeemable once per disclosed product within the first year of purchase, upon review and acceptance of the photos and videos by our personnel.

For any replacement/spare parts request submitted after the first 12 months of purchase, there will be a replacement/purchase fee.

Tank Repair & Replacement

After years of use, the bonding of acrylic containers/tanks can ware, causing water leakage and other issues. For old and worn tanks, we can provide you with a prepaid shipping label to return the tank to us for repair. If your tank is able to be repaired, we will repair it for a fixed fee of $30 to cover labor and return shipping costs. If after repair the tank continues to malfunction and is deemed not fit for use, or cannot be repaired, we will offer a refurbished tank, that meets our quality standards, to replace the unusable one for the same $30 value. If you decide you would rather purchase a new tank instead of risk using a refurbished tank, we will offer you a new replacement tank at a discounted price if the tank being purchased has a greater value than $30.
