SHIPPING & RETURNS

Shipping Policy

First Tank ships strictly to the continental USA, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and APO addresses. We do not ship internationally.

Shipping cost and time is determined by current live carrier rates and location of delivery. We do not add handling fees or other charges to the shipping cost shown at checkout. We currently offer USPS Ground, USPS Priority, our custom USPS Flat Rate shipping, and free shipping for orders valued at $85 or above. Shipping charges are not included in product prices. 

In stock items ship 1-3 business days after order placement. Out of stock items have a regular lead time of 2 weeks. 

Return & Refund Policy

First Tank has a no-returns policy. We do not accept returns of orders or individual items outside of our repair and replacement service. We do not offer pre-paid return label services for orders or items. If you ship an order or item  as a return to us at your expense, we will not be able to issue a refund for either the return shipping cost or the original shipping cost of the order. We will examine the returned items for quality of condition and issue a partial refund of no less than 15% and no greater than 90% of each item's value. Refunds of returns are determined upon a case-by-case basis and will vary in value within the 15%-90% margin. NOTE: Repairs are not returns and are exempt from our Returns Policy.

Parts: Limited Coverage & Replacement

First Tank offers a 12-month Limited Coverage Service for the following items:

  • Air Hose

  • Air Check Valves

  • Air Control Valves

  • Air Pump

  • Bio sponge and air stone unit

  • Heater

The 12-Month Limited Coverage allows for a one-time free replacement of the above items for the following reasons: ​

  • Mechanical Malfunction/Defect

  • Breakage during intended use

 

To request a replacement part, you will need to provide JPEG images of the damaged or malfunctioning item and a short video of the mechanical malfunction when applicable. Photos and videos can be submitted to our personnel at service@first-tank.com. 

 

Replacement parts are subject to a purchase fee after the first 12 months of purchase.

Tank Repair & Replacement

After years of use, the bonding of acrylic tanks can ware, causing water leakage and structural issues. In some cases the tank can be repaired and does not have to be replaced with a new container. Our repair service includes prepaid shipping, a free assessment by our team and a $30 repair fee. If the container we receive cannot be repaired, or after repair continues to malfunction, we will offer to send you a new container at a discounted price.

If you ever face the terrible situation of coming home to a leaking aquarium and need a new tank in ASAP fashion, contact us! We will assist in getting a new tank delivered to your doorstep in time to save your aquatic creatures.
